ST. HELENA >> Jacob Elsa led the way with 17 points and Seth Mix added 11 as the Clear Lake High School junior varsity boys’ basketball team routed the St. Helena Saints 67-39 in a North Central League I game at St. Helena.

“He was awesome, he did great,” Clear Lake coach Phil Psalmonds said of Elsa.

Kyle Ashworth contributed nine points and Josh Damiata eight as the Cardinals improved to 2-1 in league and 12-1 overall.

Clear Lake is home Friday to play Fort Bragg at 6 p.m.

In other boys’ action Tuesday:

K’ville 46, Willits 31

At Willits, Randy Pfann’s 17 points, including five 3-pointers, powered the Kelseyville Knights to their third league win in as many games. Anthony Pantaleon added nine points, all on 3-pointers.

Kelseyville hosts Lower Lake on Friday at 6 p.m.

Fort Bragg 58, Lower Lake 48

At Fort Bragg, the host Timberwolves dealt the Lower Lake Trojans their first league loss.

Taylor Scott led Lower Lake (2-1) with 10 points, Bobby Cruz added eight Michael Taliaferro, Guido Boyd and Angel Jauregui had six points apiece.

Lower Lake travels to Kelseyville on Friday for a 6 p.m. game.

Upper Lake 64, St. Vincent 44

At Upper Lake, the Upper Lake Cougars improved to 2-0 in the NCL II standings with a win over the St. Vincent Mustangs.

Kenneth Hodges’ double-double effort of 16 points and 15 rebounds led the way. Robert Neils finished with 15 points and Nathan Snead added 12.

Upper Lake hits the road Friday to play Calistoga at 5 p.m.

Girls’ basketball

Lower Lake 48, Fort Bragg 21

At Lower Lake, Vanessa Hughes led all scorers with 24 points and the Lower Lake Trojans ran their league record to 3-0 and their overall mark to 13-2 with a one-sided victory over the Fort Bragg Timberwolves. Catie Pesonen added nine points.

Lower Lake meets another undefeated league team, the Kelseyville Knights, on Friday in Lower Lake at 6 p.m.

K’ville 55, Willits 33

At Kelseyville, Brisa Villa scored 21 points, Bailey Couey added 15 and Tymeka Green had 11 as the Kelseyville Knights stayed perfect in the NCL I standings by routing the Willits Wolverines.

Kelseyville (3-0 league, 10-2 overall) almost had a fourth player score in double figures as Bib Hamner added eight points.

It’ll be a battle of 3-0 league teams on Friday when Kelseyville visits Lower Lake at 6 p.m.

Clear Lake 53, St. Helena 10

At Lakeport, the Clear Lake Cardinals improved to 3-0 in league play at the expense of the St. Helena Saints.

Grace Davidson’s 15 points powered Clear Lake and Tianna Jardstrom had 12. Lilli Hill and Cassondra Bassett finished with eight apiece.

M’town 53, Cloverdale 33

At Cloverdale, Callie Wilson’s 10 points helped the Middletown Mustangs knock off the Cloverdale Eagles in NCL I play.

Brenna Southern and Hannah Morris added nine points apiece as Middletown (1-2) registered its first league win.

Middletown travels to St. Helena on Friday. Action begins at 6 p.m.

Upper Lake 38, St. Vincent 32

At Upper Lake, Julia Mooney and Cheyanne Obedoza shared scoring honors with 14 points apiece and the Upper Lake Cougars improved to 2-1 in the NCL II standings with a victory over the St. Vincent Mustangs.

Delaney Love had eight points for the Cougars, who travel to Calistoga on Friday for a 3:30 p.m. game against the Wildcats.
