Hang in there
In response to Ron Rose’s ed/op letters about the county fighting the Lakeside Heights homeowners regarding who is responsible for the landslide. If the County is found to be responsible after having rejected a legitimate claim and using county money to hire legal representation, it will be in 10 times the predicament. Once again, national infamy!
I empathize with the homeowners. Keep your spirits up, down let it get you down. Stay united. You will prevail. Don’t be “bullied” by the county. We all know about the abuse of power and discretion wielded over us.
Victory is going to be sweet. Patience is a virtue.

Let’s be in control
In the Tuesday, Jan. 5th, 2016 Record-Bee I read the state legislature passed legislation to slow global warming by boosting the use of renewable energy, but it will not be fully implemented until 2030.
In 2030 the world’s population will be 9 billion. Up from the 7.5 billion we have now. In 2000 we had 6 billion — 2 times the 3 billion we had in 1970. In 2030 we will have 3 times the population we had in 1970 in only 60 years, one lifetime.
People caused global warming and most other problems because of overpopulation. There’s a population explosion worldwide that’s adding a quarter million births a day, 2 million a week, 8 million a month, 100 million a year, 1 billion every 10 years.
If we do not find a way to halt this population growth and bring it into remission I am afraid all will be lost.
Earth is too small and finite to go on supporting our rapid geometric increase in population. People had better start limiting themselves to 2 kids per family; 1 each to replace Mom and Dad.
We had better start now, we are running out of time.

Doesn’t apply
Because of timeline constraints, Greg Blinn’s arguments (R-B, 1/5/2016) against the phenomenon of fulfilled prophecy doesn’t apply to Bible prophecies that have been fulfilled over the last several hundred years. Nor do his arguments apply to modern day prophecy because of the time element. As far as the earlier period that he did deal with, I thoroughly covered that in 2014 (i.e., R-B, 6/5, 6/19, also 2015: 2/11, 2/26, 5/7, 6/4, 11/3) and don’t see any need to go over it again.
The only thing I might add is that Mr. Blinn’s Jan. 5 contentions are in conflict with the position of modern day Bible tested prophets concerning the authenticity of the Old Testament text.
