Clearlake >> The investigation into an armed robbery this weekend led officers to a felon they believe was involved in another case.
In the early morning hours of Saturday, the Clearlake Police Department (CPD) received a report of a robbery with the use of a firearm in the 3500 block of Moose Trail, Sgt. Rodd Joseph said in a media statement over the weekend. The victim did not suffer any serious injuries.
During that investigation, officers followed leads that directed them to a residence also in the 3500 block of Moose Trail. They conducted a search and reportedly found a firemarm, Joseph said.
Isaiah Matthew Dominguez, 20, was arrested on charges of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon and a felony probation violation. He was later booked into the Lake County jail. The Clearlake resident is also a person of interest in the robbery case which is still under investigation.
