LAKEPORT >> H&R block is putting the “fun” back in Refund Season. Lake County resident Jason Lopes picked up a big check at the H&R Block office in Lakeport after winning the company’s 1,000 Win $1,000 Daily Sweepstakes
“We are so excited to kick off the official start of tax season by announcing our first $1,000 winners,” said Marjorie Anderson, Lakeport office Franchisee. “Every day we see what a tax refund can mean to our clients and the joy it brings to them. Now we get to celebrate again with the lucky winners getting another $1,000 on top of their refund.”
Anyone who files their taxes in a participating H&R Block office by Feb. 15 can be automatically entered into the sweepstakes. For more information, including official rules and other ways to enter, taxpayers can visit www.hrblock.com/grand.

H&R Block is giving away a total of $32 million in the first month of tax season. The Lakeport office is located at 520 Lakeport Blvd.
