ST. HELENA >> Kelseyville is still perfect in the North Central League I standings and, for that matter, so are the St. Helena Saints following the Knights’ 82-15 victory on Tuesday night in varsity girls’ basketball action at St. Helena.
Alma Perez led the way with 21 points and Payton Conrad added 18, including four 3-pointers, as the Knights completed the first half of their league schedule at 7-0. At the other end of the NCL I standings are the 0-7 Saints, a one-team league power that has fallen on hard times of late.
“They were passing the ball very well,” Kelseyville coach Jim Hale said of the Knights’ 19 assists.
Kelseyville held a 43-9 halftime lead.
Heidy Cano joined Perez and Conrad in double digits with 13 points. Haleigh Meyer added nine points and Riley Goff had eight.
Goff is now 27 points shy of 1,000 for her career. The junior guard returns to action along with her teammates on Friday in Fort Bragg before returning home next Tuesday to play Cloverdale.
Kelseyville won the junior varsity game 43-32.
