Lakeport >> During the month of January the members of the Lakeport Lions Club presented 40 new books to the Lakeport Elementary School in support of the Lake County Reads initiative through the Lake County Office of Education, Literacy Task Force.
Through this process, the club’s donation of $500 purchased age/grade appropriate children’s books for the school.
“We are so very proud to be a part of this worthwhile project,” said club member Kandee Stolesen. “What a pleasure it is to see the excited faces of the children as you read a book to them.”
