George and Kevin Cockriell of Kelseyville drew the No. 1 blast-off number for the March 19-20 Clear Lake Team Bass Tournament, which is sponsored by the Lake County Chamber of Commerce and Konocti Vista Casino. George Cockriell (above, left) said he got into line at 4 a.m. Friday so that he could receive the number. His team will blast off first on the first day of the two-day tournament. The starting order is reversed for the second day. Melissa Fulton of the Lake County Chamber presented Cockriell with the No. 1 blast-off number once the Chamber office opened at 9 a.m. Fifteen teams signed up on Friday. Among the more popular tournaments held at Clear Lake because 100 percent of entry fees are returned to fishermen through cash prizes, this year’s tourney is expected to draw 125 teams.
