Lake County students in grades 4-8 who wish to participate in the Rocket Club will have another week to sign up as the deadline has been extended to Feb. 10. This free club meets weekly at the Taylor Observatory in Kelseyville on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Students will be asked to commit to attending for four weeks to learn about the physics of flight and space history as they build their own model rocket. A launch date will be set for a Saturday in March. Parents are always welcome to attend and must sign a permission slip at the first meeting.
