Lake County >> Anderson Marsh State Historic Park will offer a free, guided nature walk beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 13. A tour of the historic ranch house will begin after the walk.
Docents Gae Henry and Henry Bornstein ask participants to arrive by 8:15 a.m. so they can have time to explore the wildlife found in the ranch house yard. This walk will discuss the three histories protected in the park: Native American, natural and European American.
Due to wet ground, the walk will probably be on the Cache Creek Trail and may need to return after reaching the deck at the creek. Participants should bring binoculars if they have them, and wear sturdy shoes and a hat.
Rain will cancel the walk. If rain cancels the walk, the tour will begin at 8:30 a.m. Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Highway 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake. For more information about the walk, email info@andersonmarsh.org or call (707) 995-2658.
