Since announcing suspension of shelter operations in early January, the SPCA of Clear Lake Board of Directors and Staff have adopted or placed in rescues 43 Cats and 29 Dogs. The majority of dogs were Pit Bulls. The facility’s euthanasia rate for the first 40 days of this year is a resounding zero. SPCA of Clear Lake is undergoing radical change. Plans are in the works for a spay and neuter clinic.
