Lake County >>The Clear lake Trowel and Trellis Garden Club (CLT&TGC) assembled 140 bags of Valentine cards and candy for Meals on Wheels clients coordinated by Claire Grieve. Grieve said it feels good to do something kind for others. Member Shirley Estrem made and mailed more than 100 cards from Idaho for this project.
The garden club will have its regular meeting at noon Tuesday at the Scotts Valley Women’s Club House, located at 2298 Hendricks Road in Lakeport. A light lunch will be served. The program will be the “History of the Club” which was founded Sept. 21, 1955 by three women who wished to create and promote an interest in amateur gardening in Lake County.
The CLT&TGC is a member of the Mendo Lake District of the California Garden Club, Inc. Pacific Region and National Garden Clubs, Inc.
