WINDSOR >> Four members of Core Wrestling of Clearlake took part in the Tournament of Champions Qualifier tournament last weekend in Windsor. All were competing for the first time this year.
In the schoolboy division at 103 pounds, Tristan Floyd finished first by winning all three of his matches. Another first went to Blake Schuster, also with a 3-0 record, in the 108-pound schoolboy division.
In the 128-pound novice division, Joseph Hughes posted a 2-2 record and came in fourth. In the 94-pound novice division, Skylar Day went 0-2.
“I’m very proud of their performance,” CORE Wrestling head coach Ed Fuchs said.
Team members return to action Sunday at the Valentine’s Day Massacre in Vacaville.
