Middletown >> The Soper Reese Theatre in Lakeport has surpassed its original goal of providing a professional venue for the performing arts in Lake County and become more of a community center, providing a place for lectures, seminars, educational forums and much more.

Executive Director of the Soper Reese Theater, Mike Adams, will expound on the history and programming of Lake County’s sole performing arts center at the next meeting of the Middletown Luncheon Club. He will give us a taste of what we may have missed and what we might partake of in the future.

Lunch will be served on Wednesday, Feb. 17, by the Middletown Lioness Club at noon at the Middletown Senior Center, 21256 Washington St. The program will end promptly at 1 p.m. For $5 per person, enjoy a barbecue pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, garden salad and a homemade dessert. Reservations are required. Call 987-3113 or email middletownluncheonclub@gmail.com for information or to make a reservation.
