A 40-day journey
Galilee Lutheran Church
Doug Andre, Lay Leader
This week we entered the Lenten season with our Wednesday evening Ash Wednesday service. This is the beginning of a 40-day journey to the cross, and then to Easter Sunday! Sunday morning services are focused on preparation and reflection, at 10 a.m. This Sunday, Doug Andre will be speaking on the temptations of Jesus in the wilderness, which also lasted 40 days.
Our Tuesday night Bible Study for the next five weeks will be moved to 6 p.m., with a midweek Lenten service from 7:15-8 p.m. Come to one, come to the other, or come to both! This is a good time to step back from the craziness of the workweek and take a moment to “be still, and know that I am God.” We welcome everyone.

Hypocrisy and sin
Clear Lake Baptist church
Ray Smith, Pastor
So many think the church is full of hypocrites. Is that true? Not necessarily. The problem is that people confuse hypocrisy with sin. Every person is sinful. The difference is that just because someone sins does not make them a hypocrite. A hypocrite is one who pretends to be something they are not. I am not perfect, just forgiven.
Do not be a hypocrite and come Sunday at 10:45 a.m. for worship and encouragement. We have Bible studies at 9:15 a.m .for all ages. At 6 p.m., we have our evening Bible study. We have midweek services so check out the schedule online or call the church office (707) 263-3256.
