Lower Lake >> The Lower Lake High Drama Department will present their annual “Comedy & Tragedy Night” Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. in the Lower Lake High Multi-Purpose Room. Admission is $5.

Included in the program will be their award-winning one act play, “So You Think You Can Date”. Lower Lake won a Silver medal in the Lenaea Drama Festival at Folsom for their performance of the piece. Also included in the night’s showing will be many monologues, duet scenes and musical theater numbers.

Senior Megan Smith will perform her bronze medal winning song, “Ireland” from the musical “Legally Blonde”. The emcee for the event will be senior Scott Nelson who was presented with an Outstanding Performance Award during the Lenaea Competition.

The Lenaea Festival included 60 Northern California schools and over 1,500 students attended. “I am incredibly proud of all of my students who participated in this year’s festival, said Director Tracy Lahr. “We won back to back silver for our 1-Act play. It’s no easy feat to medal when you’re going up against much bigger schools, but I guess talent is talent, and we have lots of it at Lower Lake High.”

The one act cast includes Megan Smith, Jordan Harris, Scott Nelson, Rachel Cabral, Kaymen Barnes, Malajiahna Robinson, Brandon Goodson, Chloe Cox, Peerliss Brooke, Natalie Carte and Robert Garcia.
