LOOMIS >> The Punisher Wrestling Club of Lower Lake has qualified four of its members for the SCWAY State Championships on March 18-20 in Clovis.
Isaiah Rubio, Aiden Dancer, Alexis Peregrina and Adam Viramontes all punched their tickets for state last weekend during a SCWAY Zone 1 competition at Del Oro High School in Loomis.
Rubio beat Eli Honsa Of USA Gold to win the 65-pound championship for 11- and 12-year-olds. Dancer also came in first, posting a 3-0 record that included two pins and a 9-0 major decision.
Peregrina added a second-place finish in the 84-pound, 7-8 division. Viramontes finished second in the 97-pound, 9-10 division.
The Punishers are sending 14 wrestlers to the Rocky Mountain Nationals Rumble this weekend in Reno.
