Clearlake >> The annual “Step Into Spring” dinner dance, art and wine reception hosted by Park Study Club will be held on March 19 from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Highlands Senior Service Center, 3246 Bowers Ave.
This year, the art exhibits will be presented by high school students and local winery representatives will be on hand pouring wines for tasting. Music will be provided once again by the Lake County Diamonds for enjoyment and listening. New this year will be entertainment provided by Michael Davis, a Broadway and TV star, with his comedy and juggling act.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. with wine tasting, and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will consist of smoked tri-tip, roasted Yukon potatoes with bacon, a Southern-styled braised green salad and Point Reyes bleu cheese kale salad with walnuts.
There will be raffle baskets, live auctions, one being a homemade dessert auction, with the food baked by high school students. One of the many raffle items will be a heron wood carving by Mark Colp, a local craftsman. The winner of which will be drawn at the event.
Advanced tickets cost $35 and at the door $40. Advanced tickets can be obtained by calling 995-1807. Proceeds benefit the Park Study Club scholarship and youth leadership funds for local high school students.
