LAKE COUNTY >> Calpine and the Lake County Chamber of Commerce are partnering to bring candidate forums to the public for Supervisorial Districts 1 and 5.
“We feel these races are extremely important and wish to provide opportunities to as many members of the public as possible,” said Danielle Seperas, Manager, Government & Community Affairs for Calpine.
The forum for District 1 will be held on Thursday, April 21, 6 p.m. at the Calpine Visitor Center in Middletown.
The District 5 forum will be one week later, Thursday, April 28 at 6 p.m. at Black Rock Golf Course on Cobb.
A forum is also being planned by the Chamber for District 4 Supervisorial candidates on Thursday, May 5 at 6 p.m. in the Supervisor’s Chambers in Lakeport.
All candidates are invited to participate in their District’s forum. There will be opening statements, questions for all candidates and closing statements. “As we draw nearer to the schedule dates, the chamber will reach out to the public to submit questions for the candidates,” reported Melissa Fulton, CEO of the chamber.
Additionally, questions may be submitted on the evening of the forums.
“It was important to the Chamber to get these dates out to the public since we anticipate a great deal of interest in all three races,” Fulton added. “And we know there will be other community groups planning similar events.”
