Clearlake >> The Clear Lake Gleaners have announced they will be holding an extra U.S.D.A commodities giveaway this month in Clearlake, on Tuesday, March 15 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church.
The Gleaners regularly hold a foodstuffs giveaway on the first Wednesday of each month at that location, but due to a surplus of goods they have elected to add this one-time additional distribution date.
To receive food, an application must be filled out on site. The applicant will then be issued a card, which can be used at future giveaways to redeem food.
The Clear Lake Gleaners is a nonprofit food bank, with its office and warehouse located at 1896 Big Valley Road in Finley. For information, call 263-8082.
