Lake County Supervisors Rob Brown and Jim Comstock have announced their endorsement of City Councilman Martin Scheel to succeed Anthony Farrington for Supervisor in District 4.
“It is my honor to endorse Martin Scheel for District 4 Lake County Supervisor,” declared Brown, who represents the neighboring 5th District. “I have known Martin for many years and worked with him in his capacity as a member of the Lakeport City Council. However, it was his unwavering commitment in the early hours of the Valley Fire that impressed me the most.”
Scheel joined Brown and Lake County Sheriff Brian Martin in finding aid and directing evacuating traffic during the first day of the fire. Brown expressed his admiration of leadership beyond local political boundaries, considering it critical during the rebuilding process.
“Martin Scheel has earned my support with his dedicated service to the people of Lake County,” added Comstock, who is retiring after eight years on the Board. “He will be a very effective voice for the concerns of District 4 residents as their County Supervisor.”
