CLEARLAKE >> The Konocti seventh-grade boys’ basketball team capped a successful season by beating Middletown in the championship game of the Lake County Junior High Athletic League tournament held recently in Kelseyville.
Lower Lake finished the season 14-3 overall and 9-1 in league. It’s Konocti’s first LCJHAL championship in 10 years.
During the preseason portion of its schedule, Lower Lake finished second in the Terrace tournament and second a tournament at Merritt College in Oakland. The team will compete in a tournament at Oracle Arena in Oakland, home of the Golden State Warriors, beginning today.
