Lakeport >> The Soper Reese Theatre Third Friday Live series features Steve Lucky and the Rhumba Bums, with show starting at 7 p.m., on March 18.

This Bay Area group plays a mix of jump blues, swing, jazz and songs inspired by the ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘50s. Steve Lucky’s soulful piano and Carmen Getit’s Dinah Washington vocal style combine with saxophones, drums and bass for a driving sound.

Music critic, Jim Moret of CNN Showbiz says this group is “at the forefront of the swing revival,” and Down Beat Magazine says, “The Rhumba Bums abide by Cab Calloway’s advice: ‘Live what’s in your soul and sing your friggin’ heart out.’”

Dance floor will be open. Tickets cost $15 for all seats and are available online at soperreesetheatre.com; at the theater box office, 275 S. Main St. in Lakeport on Fridays 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; or at The Travel Center, 1265 S. Main in Lakeport, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
