LAKEPORT >> The megabucks WONBASS Open pro-am gets underway today and runs through Friday with tournament headquarters at Konocti Vista Casino and Marina.
Weigh-ins all three days begin at 3 p.m.
The tournament field consists of 150 fishermen (75 professionals and 75 amateurs). The pros will be teamed with a different amateur each day and the team shares its weight. Each boat has a five-fish limit.
First place in the pro division is a new bass boat valued at $50,000. The pros paid a $1,040 entry fee and the amateurs $416.
With a forecast for clears skies and temperatures in the low 70s all three days of the tournament, many of the fishermen are expecting the winning pro to bring between 80-90 pounds to the scales.
