Clearlake >> The Clearlake Car Club recently stopped by People Services, Inc. to make a donation of $450.

Boasting a local membership of almost 70, the club arrived for the client council meeting sporting car classics that drew the attention of neighbors and passersby, said People Services, Inc. Program Director Martin Diesman. Autos showcased ranged from a 1936 Ford Phaeton to more modern muscle classics like a burning red GTO.

When Diesman offered thanks to car club president Mark Parode, he said, “the real thanks goes to you, Marty and your staff who do so much for those people in our community who need love and support … you guys are great.”

Diesman told the club members their donation would be used to purchase much needed furniture updates in the client classrooms.

If you have interest in classic cars, the Clearlake Car Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Lower Lake Community Center. Club president can be reached at (707) 995-6091 for additional information.
