Clearlake >> City and county law enforcement conducted a sweep that nabbed 16 people most on drug related charges.
The special enforcement operation took place Friday at five pre-selected locations in Clearlake. Officers from the Clearlake Police Department (CPD), the Lake County Probation Department and Lakport Police Department (LPD) focused on individuals on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS), CPD Sgt. Tim Hobbs said. Even so, only four of the individuals taken into police custody were on PRCS probation.
All were booked into the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility.
David Cox, 34, was arrested for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance, which violated his probation, and having items that were prohibited by the gang clause of his probation.
Curtis Fleming, 52, was allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation. He was arrested, but due to preexisting medical issues Fleming was released at St. Helena Hospital, Clear Lake.
Scott Wade, 54, was arrested for alleged felony possession of methamphetamine and violation of probation. The possession of methamphetamine was a felony charge due to Wade being a registered sex offender.
Justin Krumsiek, 26, was arrested for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance and violation of probation.
The following 12 individuals who are not on PRCS were also arrested:
Jason Tate, 46, faces charges of possession of heroin for sales, possession of methamphetamine for sales, possession of psilocybin mushrooms for sales, possession of an unlawful weapon, felon in possession of ammunition and an outstanding warrant for possession of heroin for sales, Hobbs said. Tate was found in possession of three-fourths of an ounces of heroin, a quarter ounce of methamphetamine, more than 50 psilocybin mushrooms, a digital scale and packaging material.
Mickey Mantle, 39, was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine for sales and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Robert Hankins, 70, was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bruce Brown, 43, faces charges of being a felon in possession of pepper spray.
Casey Long, 22; William Rowe, 35; Amber Saldana, 37; and Randy Powers, 65; and Jamie Brackett, 28, were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
John Krumsiek, 55, was arrested for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia.
Franklin Reed, 38, was arrested for an outstanding warrant and driving on a suspended drivers license.
Steven McGee, 53, was arrested for outstanding warrants. Due to preexisting medical issues, McGee was released at St. Helena Hospital, Clear Lake.
