An osprey stretches its wings at the Clear Lake State Park, where two birds have been situated on a man-made nest pole. The birds were gawking around at the people below and supposedly getting ready to raise chicks, reported photographer Gene Lambert. Though unsure if they’ve laid eggs, Lambert said a pair raised two chicks at the same spot last year. – Gene Lambert
