The Lake County Grand Jury invites Lake County young people aged six to 18 to submit their original artwork for inclusion in the Grand Jury report for 2015-2016. Entries must be received by April 30. There will be cash prizes. First prize will be $200, second prize will be $100, and there will be up to eight prizes of $50 each.

The Grand Jury publishes a written report every summer on the working of the county and cities governments. The report is available as a printed volume, as a CD, and as a download from co.lake.ca.us/Government/Boards/Grand_Jury/FinalReports.htm . The Grand Jury report is distributed to the public, to all departments in the county government, to the State archivist. It is available through the library, which has copies going back many decades.

The artwork should express one or more of the following themes:

The natural beauty of Lake County;

Unique Lake County culture;

Rebirth and Renewal.

Please share this with all the talented young people you know.
