A group of Pomos and supporters protest mass tribal disenrollment from the Elem Indian Colony Tuesday afternoon along Main Street in Lakeport. At least 35 Elem members have received notices of disenrollment from the tribal council listing what protesters call baseless accusations. The real reason for the disenrollment, protesters say, is to distance the tribe from known critics of the tribal council, those who have voted against them as well as their families, in order to keep their own positions of power. – Berenice Quirino — Lake County Publishing
