Karate students at Lake County Martial Arts in Lakeport brought home a host of medals from a competition last weekend at Butte College in Oroville. Taking part were (back row, from left) Armando Maldonado and Hunter Melvin, and (front row, from left) Adrian Dillon-Kopf, Gage Templeton, Ricardo Morales, Camila Morales and Andon Beall. Multiple medal winners were Maldonado (thirds in weapons and forms, second in sparring), Melvin (third in sparring, fourth in forms), Templeton (second in forms, third in sparring) and Morales (thirds in forms and sparring).
