Hidden Valley Lake >> Law enforcement auxiliaries visited the Sons in Retirement (SIR) luncheon meeting on April 15.

Senior victim advocate Crystal Martin and her entourage arrived to address the SIRs on the Lake County victim witness program, a division of the county’s district attorney’s office.

Accompanying Martin was assistant district attorney Ed Borg and investigator Denise Hinchcliff.

Little SIR Bill Lyon introduced the speaker on behalf of Big SIR Gary Foote. Membership chair SIR John Jones made his plea for increased membership and a new position within the organization was formed and filled at the same meeting. SIR Marlin Walker will serve as the new sergeant at arms effective immediately.

SIR is a fraternal/social organization which meets the third Friday each month for a noon lunch at Hidden Valley Lake. If you are interested in joining, contact Jones at (707) 484-2855 or Foote at (707) 367-7978.
