Valerie Reid applies makeup backstage before a performance of “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” an original play written by Katy Tipton. The show is named for the Elton John album and weaves the songs together into a two-hour musical production. It opened at the Soper Reese Theatre last weekend. The show continues tonight, Saturday and Sunday with performances at 7 p.m. tonight and tomorrow, 2 p.m. on Sunday.
