Not afraid

Galilee Lutheran Church

Lay Leaders Debra Blum and Janis Andre

In the 14th chapter of John, Jesus says: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

How appropriate are these words to us today! So much of our public and private lives are driven by fear and apprehension. Yet Jesus tells us, “Do not be afraid.”

We live boldly and with the courage to speak our beliefs to the world. We stride confidently into the future, trusting in God to provide for our needs and lead us in His way. We are not afraid.

The 10 a.m. service at Galilee will be lead by Debra Blum and Janis Andre, with music on piano and guitar. We will begin the service outside, as we dedicate the beautiful Lake County Quilt which now graces the front of our sanctuary (and thanks to the Quilt Trail people for painting it, and to Doug Andre and Corky Schmidt for installing it).

Galilee Lutheran welcomes everyone, and is located at 8860 Soda Bay Road in Kelseyville (the Rivieras). We also offer Tuesday night round table-style Bible Studies at 7 p.m. Join us!
