Lakeport >> The Mendo-Lake Singers, part of Sweet Adelines International, are heading off to Sparks, Nevada to participate in the annual regional competition. Choruses from Northern California and Oregon will compete for regional title and then go on to compete for international title against choruses from around the world.
Before they travel to Nevada, the singers invite the community to a free musical performance on Tuesday.
The program starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Foursquare Church, 1125 Martin St. in Lakeport. Refreshments are free.
Women at least 18 years of age who enjoy singing are also welcome to go to rehearsals Tuesday nights at the above location.
