Lake County >> Two winery gardens will be featured in the Clear Lake Trowel & Trellis Garden Club’s (CLTTC) “Hidden Gardens of Lake County” tour May 14.
At Chacewater taste the oils pressed on site. Stroll through the 3,000 organic olive trees in the orchard planted by the monks of St. Gregory Orthodox Monastery. Mill Master Emilio DeLa Cruz will answer questions about California olive propagation and the Italian Pieralisi olivemill used for these proprietary oils.
There will also be a plant sale at this venue and master gardeners available to answer questions. This venue will close at 3 p.m.
At the Boatique gardens, experience Robert and Madi’s winery and gardens. Renowned landscape architect Bill Calloway designed the gardens to compliment the panoramic views. Raised beds are professionally planted for tulips in the spring and with vegetables and flowers afterward. A drip irrigation expert from DripWorks will be in hand to answer questions.
There is also the collection of restored rare antique wooden boats at the winery guests can view.

Tickets cost $25 and are available the day of the tour at The Shoe Box located in the Lakeport Safeway Shopping Center, 1071 11th St., or at Boatique Winery, 8255 Red Hills Road in Kelseyville.
