
KENTFIELD >> Blake Fredrickson, Jonathan Fredrickson and Tristan Day of the Punishers Wrestling Club of Lower Lake won first-place medals in both the freestyle and Greco divisions on Saturday at the Coastal Mountain Wrestling Association Championships at Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield.
The Punishers sent 17 wrestlers to the tournament and came away with numerous medals, including 11 firsts.
In freestyle action, Blake Fredrickson went 2-0 in the cadet 106-pound division, Jonathan Fredrickson posted a 3-0 record in the 70-pound schoolboy division, and Day topped the field in the 106-pound schoolboy division.
Other firsts went to Austin Fredrickson in the 66-pound novice division, to Nick Celli in the 70-pound intermediate division, to Aiden Dancer in the 60-pound intermediate division, and to Travis Boyles in the 50-pound intermediate division.
Second-place medals went to Bryan Gudino in the 70-pound schoolboy division, to Arturo Gudino in the 50-pound intermediate division, and to Carter Rudolph and Mario Cueller.
Earning third-place medals were Hayden Fowler, Kenya Atrisco, Myles Conatser, Trevor Wilson and Taylor Boyles.
In Greco action, Blake and Jonathan Fredrickson joined Day and Cuellar as first-place medal winners.
Bryan Gudino and Fowler came away with second-place medals while Wilson and teammate Hugo Salazar picked up third-place medals.
The Punishers travel to the Mount Diablo Championships this weekend in San Ramon.
