Clearlake >> The city of Clearlake will host an open house to discuss possible improvements to Austin Park that will help make it the centerpiece of the city on Wednesday. Melton Design Group, the consultant firm selected to assist in the master planning process, will be on site to take input from all who attend.

“We just went through a similar design process with Highlands Park and I think we came up with a very well received concept that is going to tremendously increase the use of the park once we take this design from concept to reality,” City Manager Greg Folsom said. “We are looking to go through this same process with Austin Park.”

The open house will be at Clearlake City Hall, located at City of Clearlake 14050 Olympic Drive, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

“Austin Park is the heart of our city and it should represent who we are as a community, which is why we need public participation in order to make this park truly reflect our community,” said Clearlake Council Member Bruno Sabatier.
