KELSEYVILLE >> Noah Lyndall’s pitching days aren’t done yet.

Lyndall, half of the one-two pitching punch that has Kelseyville High School’s varsity baseball team on the verge of winning a North Central League I championship, signed a letter of intent on Tuesday to attend Sonoma State University where he will trade in his Knights jersey for a Seawolves jersey.

Sonoma State’s color scheme of Navy and Columbia blue and white works well for Lyndall, a Los Angeles Dodgers fan who has been subjected to wearing San Francisco Giants colors – orange and black – during his four years at Kelseyville.

Lyndall, a senior, is enjoying the best season of his Kelseyville career, both from an individual and team standpoint. On the mound, he is 5-1 with a 1.71 ERA, four complete games and one shutout. At the plate, he is batting a team-best .500 (25-for-50) with 10 extra-base hits, including a team-high 20 RBIs.

The Knights are 15-2 overall and 11-0 in league with three NCL I games remaining. They’ve won 12 straight and are gunning for a 13th win in a row Saturday when they travel to Middletown where Lyndall is the scheduled starter. A win over the Mustangs guarantees Kelseyville no worse than a share of the league title.

Friends, school officials and family members, notably mom Aleisha and dad Mike, were on hand for a brief letter of intent signing ceremony at Kelseyville High School.
