MIDDLETOWN >> There are still seats available for Gibson’s Fireside Chat this weekend. Sunday, May 29, 3 to 5 p.m., with Bob Donley, a lively octogenarian who has done his share to create Middletown history. There is no charge and refreshments will be served before the question period.
Donley was among the founders of Middletown Days — a favored community event since 1961. It comes around on Father’s Day weekend, this year June 17-19.
Young folk and seasoned riders alike compete in contests of horsemanship and Old West bravado like steer wrestling and hide pulls at Central Park. Everybody, like this future Princess, gets into the spirit of the parade through Middletown Saturday morning.
