Lakeport >> Emily Psalmonds and Autumn Pyzer are the recipients of vocational scholarships each worth $1,000 awarded by the Lakeport Women’s Civic Club.
“We are pleased to assist these students in achieving their educational goals,” Sharon Leckbee said. The club gives two individuals scholarships each year.
Pyzer, of Middletown High School, received an award to Lytle’s Beauty College to pursue cosmetology.
Psalmonds, of Clear Lake High School, is planning on attending Mendocino Junior College or a college in San Diego to become a dental assistant.
“Club members are very proud of these students and wish them every success,” Leckbee said.
