SANTA ROSA >> Lower Lake High School’s Jerod Alexander has been added to the boys’ roster for the fourth annual Redwood Empire All-Star Basketball Game on Saturday at Rincon Valley Christian High School in Santa Rosa.

Graduating seniors, both boys and girls, are taking part in the competition. Girls’ action tips off at 5:45 p.m. while the boys’ game starts at 7:30 p.m. The games are sponsored by Oilstop and the officials are provided by the North Coast Officials Association. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. Children age 6 and younger are admitted free. A snack bar will be open for both All-Star contests.

Alexander is the third Lake County player to commit to the All-Star games. Middletown’s Ashlyn Welton and Kelseyville’s Nick Pfann are also taking part.

Through Wednesday, the girls’ All-Star roster featured Welton, Angel Bernardi and Teanne Edens of Cloverdale, Caroline Hogan of Rincon Valley Christian, Claudia Silva of Roseland University Prep, Olivia DeGraca of St. Vincent, Katie Stagnoli, Casey Castro and Kaitlin Wayland of Technology, Savanna Dilks and Krystal Woods of Point Arena, and Bella Bollman and Jenny Eggers of Sonoma Valley.

The boys’ All-Star roster through Wednesday includes Alexander, Pfann, Marcus Poe and Adrian Bernardi of Cloverdale, Tyler Baker and Paul Gorman Jr. of Fort Bragg, Anthony Sorace of Willits, Pablo Avendano, Frankie Valdez and Abel Ortiz of Roseland University Prep, Jack Grennburg of Sonoma Academy, Will Tarrant, Liam Galten and Michael Awad of St. Vincent, Himansu Singh of Technology, Cesar Soto and Erin Perez of Anderson Valley, O’Bryon Simmons and Jordan Luna of Laytonville, and Dakota Woltering and Michael Veregge of Archbishop Hanna.

Rincon Valley Christian High School is located at 4585 Badger Road in Santa Rosa.
