Clearlake >> The Lake County Theatre Company (LCTC) production of the children’s musical “We Are Monsters” opens Friday in the brand new Cornelison Event Center on the campus of the Konocti Education Center.

Students ages 5-17 from all around the county have been rehearsing since March and are ready to give audiences a frightfully good time. This heartwarming musical features singing and dancing vampires, werewolves and humans who discover not to judge a book by its cover. This play has a message: what’s really important is what’s on the inside of a person — or creature — and it’s OK to be friends with those who are different from you.

Tickets cost $10 in advance ($12 at the door) and can be purchased at The Game Hub in Lower Lake, The Soap Shack in Lakeport, or online at www.lakecountytheatrecompany.org. There is a discount for children, seniors and LCTC members.

The play continues Saturday and Sunday, as well as next weekend, June 24-26. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7 p.m., Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m.

For more information, call (707) 533-9645.

The Konocti Education Center is located at 15850 Dam Road Extension in Clearlake.
