A bigger herd
Galilee Lutheran Church
Lay leader Craig Waters
A violent madman lives in a cave, separated from society, filled with a legion of demons. Jesus casts out the demons, who flee into a herd of pigs.
The pigs stampede off a cliff into the lake and drown. We live in an age where, it seems, demons abound. A madman kills 49 people in a nightclub in Orlando. Another attacks a gathering in San Bernardino. Colorado, Texas, New Hampshire … no one is immune. We need a bigger herd of pigs.
Sunday at 10 a.m., Galilee meets in our outdoor worship space. Everyone is welcome. Come join us!
Galilee Lutheran is located at 8860 Soda Bay Road in the Kelseyville Rivieras. You can find us at www.galileekelseyville.org and on Facebook.
The right choices
Clear Lake Baptist Church
Pastor Ray Smith
Happy Father’s Day! This Sunday we will be discussing that both men and women must make good, moral and right choices to reap God’s blessing. Too many people think they can make poor choices and violate God’s law and still experience God’s blessing. It does not work like that. When we harbor sin, we cannot experience blessing.
We will continue our series “Worship and the Great Commission” the next week. Join us this Sunday at 10:45 a.m. to find out how to experience God’s blessing. We have a small gift for the men. Come at 9:15 a.m. for stimulating Bible studies for all ages.
Since it is Father’s day, we will not be having an evening service. We have midweek services so check out the schedule online or call the church office (707) 263-3256. Listen to sermons online. Our Tuesday night AWANA kids club is on break for the Summer.
Do not forget the Vacation Bible Club this next week (20-24th) 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Kids 4 years to 6th grade are welcome for fun, Bible stories and crafts. The theme is Cow-A-Bunga Farm. It is going to be fun! Visit our website for other services and times; www.clearlakebaptistchurch.org
