Lakeport >> Exalted Ruler of Lakeport Elks Lodge 2704 Herb Cline presented a check for $10,000.05 to Richard Birk, president of Habitat for Humanity Lake County, on Tuesday.
The funds were donated by Elks Lodges from the Northwest District and from individuals who wanted to participate with the ongoing relief efforts for the victims of the Valley Fire. It was agreed that those funds would be used for the benefit of military veterans displaced by the fire in Lake County. “The Lakeport Elks are looking forward to participating in future projects with Lake County Habitat for Humanity,” Lakeport Elks Lodge Leading Knigh Gerald Mohl said.
