MIDDLETOWN >> Disaster changes lives. We know this to be true for adults, homeowners and renters alike, but children are also impacted by disaster. Camp Noah was created to help our disaster impacted children find hope, healing and resiliency.
Camp Noah is a day camp specifically for elementary age kids who were impacted by the Valley Fire. Campers learn resiliency skills through a variety of fun activities, including music, skits, recreation, crafts, small groups, puppet shows, and a talent show. Camp Noah is coming to Middletown July 18-22.
It takes lots of people and energy to make Camp Noah happen, and the camp is looking for help. Volunteers are needed to assist as small group leaders, with skits (4 actors), puppets (3 people-puppets provided), games and music.
Camp Noah will be held at Middletown UMC July 18-22, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. They will have a team meeting on Sunday July 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. Online training is provided and must be completed prior to the beginning of camp.
Free Housing is available for volunteers coming from out of town for the week.
