Why?
I am really struggling with so much senseless violence. This can’t be what America has become. Between the militarization of the police, widespread gun culture, and really rancorous political rhetoric, we MUST do better and remember our common humanity.
To my many friends of color, gay friends, as well as friends in law enforcement — you and your families deserve respect, to feel safe in your homes and on America’s streets.
I will come out of my house, I will stand with you. I will hold your hand and carry you if necessary. I will help in whatever ways I can.
It’s time to hold on tight to one another and find a way through this insanity.

Slow down
I feel it’s time to speak up on something I’ve noticed is getting progressively worse. SPEEDING!
I travel the streets, roads and highways of Lake County as well as Northern California in general, on a regular basis. The speed limit is completely ignored in most places I’ve been. If I travel at the speed limit on a two lane highway, you would think that I am breaking the law! People ride my bumper, I’ve been cursed at, flipped the bird, just about run off the roadway and threatened with bodily harm for NOT speeding.
When it’s safe to do so, I pull over and let people pass because I understand that I do not know why another driver needs to speed, but I also know just how dangerous it is to be tailgated at 55 — 60 mph. Do we need to reconsider our speed limit laws?
Due to all of the accidents (quite a few, deadly) I’ve seen and read about on our highways, I don’t feel up-ing the speed limit is the best choice. Does anyone get in their car and think “I’ll go out and speed today, take a life or two and possibly my own?” Do people realize that a vehicle is a deadly weapon when it’s abused? Driving is a privilege and should be treated as such.
Being in a rush all of the time causes stress, stress on the road will usually lead to road rage and road rage for the most part leads to harm. We after all are human beings and should practice humanity towards one another. Learn to leave earlier, plan your time better, slow down and arrive where you’re going safely.
Or If you’re willing to pay for my speeding ticket and insurance, I will gladly speed up!

It’s pretty simple
Donald Trump said, “The system is rigged. General Petraeus got in trouble for far less,” concerning the FBI conclusion of the investigation of Hillary.
How is it that Hillary got off when an ex-CIA official did not? This is from FBI Director James B. Comey: They were looking, he said, at whether classified information was improperly stored or transmitted on a personal system in such a way that it might have violated two federal statutes.
One makes it a felony to mishandle classified information in an intentional or grossly negligent way, and the other makes it a misdemeanor to knowingly remove classified information from appropriate systems or storage facilities.
Petraeus lied to the FBI investigators. He removed Top Secret material from a secured site and handed it over to his biographer/mistress whom was not cleared for handling classified material. The FBI director determined that Hillary did none of these things. So it must me that Comey is a liberal working for Democrats, even though George W. Bush appointed him?
Republicans will never be satisfied until both Clintons are in jail. That was the reason for the latest edition of the Benghazi hearings. I only hope that democrats take the house so that this foolishness and waste does not happen again.
