LOWER LAKE >> The Lower Lake Historic Schoolhouse Museum is hosting the Annual Quilt and Fiber Arts Show from September 17 to October 15 in the Weaver Auditorium. There will be an Artists’ Reception from 12-2pm on Saturday, September 17 where demonstrations on weaving, spinning and basket making will take place.
Featured artists this year will include Lake County Fiber Artists Sheila O’Hara and Sherry Harris and their students. Fiber Artists and Quilters from around Lake County will also be participating.
The museum will begin accepting submssions starting Aug. 24. If you are a Quilter, Knitter or Fiber Artist and want your work shown during this Fiber Arts Show, please contact Sheila O’Hara at sheila.ohara@lakecountyca.gov or call 995-3565 on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum hopes this early notice will give exhibitors time to plan ahead and create special work for the show.
They will be accepting submissions until Saturday, September 3.
