The Kelseyville Little League Minor All-Stars (ages 9-10) placed second out of 14 teams during the District 2 All-Star Tournament, which wrapped up a nearly two-week run on Wednesday when Peach Bowl of Yuba City, the host team, defeated Kelseyville in the championship game. It was the second loss for Kelseyville in the double-elimination tournament. Had Kelseyville won the game, a second championship game would have been necessary because Peach Tree had no losses. Kelseyville went 5-2 in the tournament and advanced out of the consolation bracket to secure a spot in the championship game. Kelseyville beat Westshore in the consolation bracket championship game on Tuesday, avenging a loss to the same Westshore team in the winner’s bracket on July 6.
