A bounty
A recent article highlighted in the Press Democrat and our local press entitled “Lake County’s 2015 crop value surges past $100 million” was an eye opener!
Lake County’s Agricultural Commissioner, Steve Hajik, reported “It’s the first time ever over $100 million.” Our top three producing and selling crops — pears, winegrapes and walnuts — make up the bulk of our agricultural success.
This feat not only puts us on the map but makes us proud. Agriculture and its support businesses constitute a large segment of our local economy, providing not only crops but jobs.
The harvest that results in this success is now getting under way. Pear sheds are open for business and advertising for seasonal workers at good wages. Labor contractors are organizing their seasonal employees. Local farmers and ranchers are monitoring their orchards and vineyards and readying their equipment and labor housing with optimism for another successful harvest. Vegetable farmers are proudly selling their crop at local Farmer’s Markets.
During the harvest months of mid-July through November local traffic not only increases but is frequently dotted with slow moving farm equipment, large tractor-trailer rigs and long semis. All this increased activity requires both patience and appreciation from our community. We are confident that your ongoing support will help make this year another banner year for Lake County agriculture.

Run amuck
Two things came out in this election cycle, your vote doesn’t count and politicians are above the law.
You Bernie supporters had the rug pulled out from underneath you when a day before the California Primary it was announced Hillary was the Dem winner! Then there was James Comey, what a piece of work, who said he could not prove intent when the law clearly states you do not have to prove intent. So we were just OJ’d. HRC broke so many laws it is indescribable and constantly lied about it, and Comey laid out six of them. He was dammed if he did and dammed if he didn’t. He took the coward’s way out.
Those of you on the left that think Bill Clinton just happened to be in Phoenix to play golf in 120 degree heat are fools! He was there for one express purpose, to discuss grand-children, “Loretta, you will not prosecute Chelsea’s children’s grandmother.”
The Clinton’s used the FBI Files to discredit their enemies. They have been up to their eyebrows in corruption since day one as stated in many tell all books. You have to be an utter moron to ignore all of this. So as usual, another corrupt politician goes free unless you, the U.S. citizen, speaks your mind at the polls and my bet is you will and not put us in the category of we are so screwed and corrupt politicians can go free.
Destroying government files is illegal. HRC’s lawyers did not have government clearance to review classified information, against the law. Anyone who sent classified memo’s to a private server is against the law and on and on again. Why aren’t any one of these people not being prosecuted? They broke the law! Literally, hundreds of people broke the law and we are supposed to look the other way.
We have seen how the Clinton’s and progressive liberalism have perverted the laws as drawn by the Constitution, to where they have no meaning. Liberal SCOTUS Justices saying the Constitution is flawed, yet when there were sworn in they were required by law to uphold the Constitution, (i.e. Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s statement, “the Constitution is too flawed and I will move to Costa Rica if Trump is elected”). Well move! Good riddance to bad rubbish! Fifty percent of the population would pay for a one-way ticket! You don’t believe in the US Constitution, you are bad news and this is not the first time she had bad mouthed the Constitution and this is a sitting Supreme Court Justice? No this is progressive liberalism run amuck.
And this is who you want to represent the USA?
And by the way, my liberal friends voted for Ronald Reagan, twice! I think I know how to pick my friends and we have traveled the world together in the last 50 years. I have seen how progressive liberalism has changed this great USA and it isn’t pretty!
