Clearlake >> Dan Stemler, writer, environmental educator and publisher/editor will present a program on how to live healthier, happier lives today at Redbud Library. The lecture program, the first of a two-part series, will focus on better living from two variant perspectives.

Stemler will give strategies pertaining to health and environmental stewardship, longevity and how to be a positive influence. He uses information from the Centers for Disease Control, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, FDA and EPA among other institutions and universities to guide his ideas.

The program today will identify health hazards and health resources in the home, workplace, outdoors and in the market place. It begins with a social time at 4 p.m., then a Power Point presentation from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event also includes an audience feedback and interaction session for questions and answers.

There is no admission charge, however, a donation container will be available at the registration table at the library’s community room.

The second installment of this series will be at the same location on Aug. 17.

Redbud Library is located at 14785 Burns Valley Road in Clearlake.
