Lakeport >> The Miss Lake County and Miss Lake County’s Outstanding Teen orientation takes place July 31 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Participants in the 2017 Miss Lake County Scholarship Pageant, which takes place in October, will compete to win college scholarships.

Teen contestants must be ages 12 to 17 (13 before June 20, 2017). Competitors for Miss Lake County must be ages 17 to 24 (must be a high school senior and not turn 25 before June 20, 2017).

The orientation will be at Country Air Properties building, 901 S. Main St. in Lakeport. Participants must bring a parent if they are younger than 18.

The Miss Lake County Scholarship Pageant is a preliminary to the Miss California 2017 and Miss America pageants.
